POSITION SUMMARY
TheMachine Maintenance Mechanicis responsible for maintenance, cleaning and servicing of machinery at various retail establishments, while using company equipment and vehicle for transportation. This position will perform hands on equipment maintenance and repair work while consistently demonstrating safe and efficient work practices with a positive and professional attitude and demeanor.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative maintenance of machinery like vending machines
Properly clean, align, and test core functions of machines
Recognize core function issues and report them to management for repair
Understand cleaning methods for most effective working machines
Clean and clear machine mechanisms of obstructions
Repair/replace most all parts within a machine, including mechanical and electrical parts, belts, bearings, boards, buttons, switches, signals, small motors and pulleys.
Be able to follow troubleshooting logic to track down an issue with a non-functioning machine.
Maintenance and repair of belts, motors, sensors, and signal wires
Basic understanding and ability to swap out components in control panels
Interact in a positive manner with customers and the general public
Lift, carry and raise to a level of 5 feet items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Adhere to safety standards and policies
Clean and maintain work area and equipment to ensure a safe work environment
Other job duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
A current driver’s license and acceptable driving history is required
Attention to details, ability to meet specified deadlines, adjust to changing priorities and work independently
Basic electrical and mechanical skills and knowledge around gears, pulleys, chains, machinery, and electronic controls.
Understand and use basics of machine mechanic and technician level tools
Understand basics of AC, DC, 5v, 24v, 110v, 208v3ph and multimeter usage
Have time management skills to balance needs and priorities
Communicate in a manner that conveys needed information to others
Build positive relationships with customers
Specialist should have basic toolsets, while any specialty tools will be provided
