- UNIX, Oracle RPAS (Retek Predictive Application Server) Developer
- 8+ years of experience
- Should have recent hands on in Production support and Enhancement experience in the below mentioned technologies
- Should have good work experience in Production support processes, break fixes, Automation and enhancements
- Should have Extensive work experience on UNIX scripting and Oracle RPAS (Retek Predictive Application Server) enhancement experience and simple/ complex Oracle queries, procedures and macros and Control-M scheduling tool.
- Good experience in databases like SQL Server 2012/2008 R2/2005/2000, Oracle 9i/10g/11g, Teradata 16.10.06.04
- Good knowledge on Control-M scheduling tool.
- DataStage (ETL tool) will be an added advantage
- Good experience in all the components in DataStage 11.7
- Should have worked on SVN, GitHub, and Continuous Integration environment like Jenkins, UDEPLOY.
- Should have experience in working in Agile methodology
- Should have Retail domain experience to understand the business requirement.
- Should have experience in coordinating with various matrix teams
- SQL performance tuning experience is preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of Senior programming level experience involving some architecture and high level design
- Skilled in coordinating with teams of at least 3 offshore members
- Ability to groom junior level programmers
- Understanding of distributed systems and related concepts required.
- o Should have handled Production support issues and experience in communication process on issues to business and tech stakeholders and crisis issue management experience
- o Understanding on production support SLA guidelines and experience in Onshore-Offshore model
- o Participating in requirement gathering sessions
- o Meeting with Client business analyst to understand requirements
- o Meeting with client project manager for planning deliverables, timeline, resource estimation etc
- o Explaining the requirements, functionality, design & framework to onsite & offshore team members
- o Provides management with timely communication on status & Utilizes appropriate tools and/or develops custom solutions as required to meet objectives.
- o Identifies areas for process improvement.
- o Tracks and communicates planned and in-flight business capability efforts, contributes and influences approach, scoping exercises and resource estimation
- o Fulfills responsibilities for on call support, including potential coverage of pager rotation
- o Collaboratively and effectively diagnoses, troubleshoots and remediates incidents and problems to support the end user community
- o Creates, maintains and reports operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- o Maintains appropriate communication within the team and across various teams (i.e. internal and external).
- o Considerable leadership experience in a similar environment.
- o Ability to work with Business and relate to IT requirements where necessary
- o Perform proof of concepts to evaluate different big data platform for suitability
- o Support the solution through deployment and operations
- o Diagnose and solve technical problems during operation support.
- o Participate in the ongoing development roadmap
- o Test case/plan creation and documentation
- o Strong analytical ability
- o Thorough understanding of relevant platform and applications, including established API's, system activity components, process flows, the underlying data model, implementation specifics of important business rules, batch jobs, user interface components, and application configuration Exhibit integrity in all decisions and actions
- o Excellent oral and written communication skills is a must
- Think out of the box to provide suggestions
- Be creative in analyzing business requirements while preparing test cases
- Nice to have some knowledge in Retail business
- Be extremely proactive and independent
