System Test Engineer (Function Performance Test)

Hello Associates, Greetings from Conch Technologies Position: System Test Engineer (Function Performance Test) Location: Detroit, MI Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: Responsibilities / Main Activities o Responsible for defining and developing the logger and HIL system according to ADAS/AD product and customer roadmap o Responsible for defining and developing the KPI calculation tool for performance testing and reporting according to ADAS/AD product o Provides the best and cost-effective solution to fulfill legal and industry standards o Defines a global standard of KPI reporting and management system according to industry standards o Will be responsible for quote activities for function performance test for new Client business o Will be responsible for ensuring that GPEP/ME-PDP deliverables o Ensures compliance to Company procedures (e.g. Process - Work Instructions) and applicable standards (e.g. ISO/TS 16949, ISO/IEC TR 15504). o Work with managers and senior managers to identify and resolve issues quickly within the team project organization. Manage technical escalation paths appropriately. Escalate where necessary for communication of issues, requests for assistance, and unexpected situations o Develop logger, HIL system and other related tools for product validation o Execute bench level testing and record results using various test systems as the product requires o Perform data analysis on test results using various tools o Perform complex work assignments requiring independent problem solving and decision making, requiring strong system knowledge and technical competency o Develop project schedule, timing plans, and use to track all tool deliverables for various projects o Participates in continuous improvement efforts, researches, recommends and initiates implementation of enhancements to products, quality, processes and programs o Main customer interface for all logger, HIL system and KPI related activities including review and clarify system requirement and present KPI results and report for the project to the customer o Lead the planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting of all KPI related activities for various projects o Present KPI results to the development teams / customer as required o Develop and release automotive logger, HIL system and all other relevant engineering deliverables in compliance with Global Product Engineering Process (GPEP) and customer expectations Requirements 5-7 years experience Required Training /Education: Bachelor's / Master's degree in engineering . Master's degree preferred. Required Experience: Level II: 5-7 years' experience regarding Responsibility / Main Activities (listed above) in serial development or comparable experience in automotive (mandatory), ADAS (mandatory) industry Experience with automotive requirements and design preferred Working knowledge of product development and product testing engineering practices in automotive field Working knowledge of ISO/IEC standards Working knowledge of Automotive logging procedures and equipment Working knowledge of HIL procedures and equipment Working knowledge in planned and structured approach Working knowledge of problem solving techniques Comfortable developing timing plans using MS Project or similar software Troubleshooting and debugging skills Knowledge of structured problem solving (8D) methods and/or techniques Working knowledge of configuration management, and project monitoring and control techniques (preferably PTC/MKS) Working knowledge of C programming Working knowledge of FPGA programming Working knowledge of CAN and LIN based tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, neoVI and other automotive networks and related tools Advanced knowledge of MS Office package Knowledge of ALM/PLM tools such as PTC integrit
