REMOTE WITH TRAVEL - Network Engineer- Rack & Stack
Role SummaryIn this role, the Network Engineers must be familiar with Switching and Routing technology to augment the current Engineering Staff at the customer. This role is remote with travel to 14 sites in the US. Role ResponsibilitiesThe overall Goal of the engagement is to assist in a technology upgrade and the 14 sites in order to standardize the configurations with the rest of the customer locations.- Will be tasked with Racking and Stacking new equipment.
- Removing old equipment from Racks and preparing the old equipment for disposal or recycling.
- Will work on connecting all equipment to the access switches and connecting the access switches to the CORE switches. Will also include connecting firewalls to the switches. The connections will be specified by the customer architecture team.
- Will also load and customize the configurations according to the specifications supplied by the customer.
- There are 14 domestic US sites so travel to the sites is a requirement for these individuals.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a Network Engineering environment.
- Data Network implementation experience - 3+ years minimum.
- Able to Rack/Stack setup initial configurations on switches and routers to gain access onto a network.
