System Test Engineer

Hello Associates, Greetings from Conch Technologies Position: System Test Engineer Location: Detroit, MI Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: Main Activities Responsible for defining global tests for vehicle test according to standards (UN-ECE, NCAP, etc) plus customer standards with strong focus on re-use between projects. o Works with cross functional team to develop portfolio of applicable test tracks, and drivers for costs and availability o Defines work product for internal and 3rd party suppliers for Test Tracks, Regional Installation, and Regional Drivers based on engineering team inputs o Defines route plans based on input from customer or internal requirements o Defines reference sensor (vehicle instrumentation) strategy based on feature test requests and data collection campaign o Defines and creates vehicle instrumentation schematics o Provide guidance to vehicle build technicians in instrumenting and preparing the vehicle for test drives and data collection campaigns o Maintains and executes 3rd party RFQ's, Contracts, and Schedules o Executes tests and delivers final vehicle level report for all vehicle driven tests within each customer or internal project o Support data collection strategy for different regions for internal and customer projects with focus on re-use. o Support integrating all aspects to finalize the vehicle like mounting power management, complete recording and measurement toolchain o Support team on long term strategy in regard to make or buy decisions o Supporting quote activities for system test for new Client business Requirements 6-8 years experience Required Training /Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering Master's Degree Preferred Required Experience: Level: 6-8 years' experience regarding Responsibility / Main Activities (listed above) in serial development or comparable experience in automotive (mandatory), ADAS (mandatory); electronic (mandatory) industry Hybrid, Hydraulic, ECU, or ADAS product/test experience Experience with automotive requirements and design Working knowledge of product development and product testing engineering practices in automotive field Working knowledge of ISO/IEC standards Experience with vehicle test track procedures and equipment Experience developing vehicle instrumentation schematics Experience with mounting different sensors on the vehicle and implementing vehicle control strategies Knowledge of software such as Elektrobit ADTF, dSPACE RT Maps Knowledge of various types of automotive sensors used in ADAS/AD applications Knowledge of various annotation/ground truthing methodologies Working knowledge of CAN and LIN based tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, neoVI and other automotive networks and related tools Advanced knowledge of MS Office package Knowledge of ALM/PLM tools such as PTC integrity
