Please note that this position is with our direct client We are looking for a Oracle Apex Developer (LOCAL Candidates highly preferred) (Webcam interviews) POSITION DESCRIPTION DIRECT CLIENT Position Number of positions: 1 Length: 9 Months + Location: Richmond VA 23223 Immediate interviews Webcam interviews ONLY This position is REMOTE during COVID. Candidate needs to work onsite once the state offices are safe to open. No one knows when that will happen at this time. VDH Oracle APEX Developer local candidates strongly preferred interviews will be conducted via MS Teams candidates will telework now (after coming to office to pick up laptop). Once restrictions are lifted, candidates will be required to work onsite daily M-F 8-5pm, NO exceptions Software developer with Apex and mod pl/sql experience. The software developer will work closely with different application teams to analyze, design, implement assigned modifications in the applications. The position will require knowledge and skills associated software development and maintenance projects in general. Professional experience working with Web based applications using Oracle as a backend is required. In depth knowledge of Oracle 12/12c/18c Database, SQL, PL/SQL programming and Javascript and/or Jquery is required. Experience in Web PLSQL Tool Kit or APEX and HTML is highly desirable. Strong background and work experience in developing true web applications is necessary. Knowledge in software development and installation, change management and testing. Strong designing, development and troubleshooting skills required. Good oral and written communication skills are required. Ability to work on multiple projects/issues simultaneously. Must have the ability to assess the impact of software upgrades and other environment changes. Five or more years of work experience is required in Oracle 11g/12c/18c Database, SQL, PL/SQL programming. Experience in conducting feasibility studies; analyzing new requirements; preparing functional and system specifications for application programmers; developing data models and system designs; developing complex program codes; testing application and evaluating results for accuracy, timelines and integrative features; preparing documentation; implementing and supporting data processing systems is required. Candidates must have ALL the "Required" skills in order to be considered for the position. "Desired" or "Highly Desired" skills are a PLUS but may NOT be required.
