POSITION SUMMARY

The Benefits/Wellness Specialist assists the Benefits Manager in the administration of all benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts and the company wellness program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with a variety of different internal functions and third-party providers to ensure processes are effectively establish and executed to ensure high quality service delivery of benefits.

Responsible for benefits eligibility tracking and enrollments in HRIS system and with carriers.

Track employee transfers to coordinate benefits enrollment/removal/deduction amounts.

Process terminated employee benefits.

Responsible for monthly benefits payments through medical carriers, insurance carriers and flex-benefit programs.

Process and validate any benefit related payroll maintenance including adjustments/special payments, reconciliations and validations of deductions.

Research employee questions and work with broker to resolve issues when necessary.

Research and resolve escalated cases and conduct appropriate root cause analysis to determine impact for identified issues.

Implement process improvements that result in an improved employee experience and reduction/elimination of errors and waste.

Keep apprised of Federal, State and local benefit laws and regulations in order to ensure compliance.

Assist with ongoing active communications, targeted letters, inserts, and SPDs.

Assist with weekly and quarterly new hire orientation and annual 401(k) education meetings.

Conduct quarterly audits.

Assist with annual enrollment process including open enrollment meetings.

Coordinate wellness initiatives and programs.

Produce quarterly Wellness Newsletter.

Track wellness compliance for health insurance premium cost-sharing.

Chair Wellness Committee.

Handle all department filing.

Assist with research/special projects.
