Grocery Store Customer Service Representative Wanted

Pauwela Store has an immediate opening for a full time front end customer service representative with a mixture of shifts that may include nights and weekends. Pauwela Store is a small grocery store with an emphasis on organic groceries. We are family owned and operated and pride ourselves on our hard working and friendly team.

As the face of our company while ringing up customers and problem solving you have an opportunity to interact and leave a lasting impression with our valued customers. The possibilities are endless if you have a passion for customer service. Your primary responsibility will include operating a cash register to accurately ring up our customers' grocery orders. You will be responsible for tendering multiple forms of payment while ensuring our customers experience a friendly, efficient checkout process. You will interact with a high-volume of customers in a fast-paced environment ensuring that all their grocery shopping needs were met.

Some of your duties will include bagging groceries, checking prices, and receiving product from different vendors. You will ensure that our customers have a clean store to shop in & provide our customers with exceptional customer service. Stock shelves and organize items in customer friendly displays.

What you bring to the table:

A high standard of ethics, honesty and trust. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal error and ultimate efficiency. Impeccable attention to detail and a self-driven motivation that doesn’t require you being tasked to perform daily job functions. Must be able to pass a Maui County Liquor Control license. A positive willingness to learn and adapt in an ever changing environment. Community minded and goal oriented. Ability to read, write, and speak English well and good knowledge of and familiarity (if necessary) with computers including Excel, Word, email, internet etc. Able to regularly safely lift a minimum of 30 pounds and navigate items up and down stairs.

Previous cashiering experience, familiarity with cash register operations & the Ability to make change accurately.

Pay is commensurate with experience and education.
