TNA is currently looking for a Network Administrator in our Information Technology Department. This position has responsibility for the uptime of the plant network and communications to TNA's data center which is critical for TNA's 24X7 business activity. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:- Ensure network connectivity from end devices to over 400 PLC Ethernet devices, and on-premise and offsite server farms are healthy and free of errors so that mission critical applications can run 24x7.
- Ensure scanning devices can connect to wireless infrastructure throughout the plant.
- Design and maintain network redundancy and minimize fault domain.
- Make proper backup of all device configurations so that spare units can be configured quickly when device fails in the plant.
- Keep all network cabinet/closed wiring clean and maintainable.
- Participate in the Incident Management process when it is related to network issue.
- Keep IT Manager informed of device product life cycle and propose annual budget for proper network device replacement and support contract.
- Maintain SSL Certificates for necessary devices.
- Maintain low-latency wireless network plant-wide.
- Occasionally, work on weekends for network maintenance on scheduled basis.
- Perform necessary security updates.
- Deploy and maintain appropriate switches and firewalls depending on the location inside the plan.
- Maintain Active Directory, Exchange, DHCP, and DNS Servers for maximum uptime.
Adhere to change management policy
Trouble shoot any network-related problem plant-wide with TNA's application engineer.
Proactively Maintain MPLS and Internet connectivity.
Keep wiring documentation and network topology diagram current.
Mentor, educate, and train junior network engineer or network technician.
Manage public and internal DNS records of company domain.
Provide on after hour call support for tier 3 network issues.
Heavy experience in Cisco nexus series switches
