Job Description

AAFCPAs is seeking a knowledgeable business process and information systems selection consultant who is fully competent, highly-ethical, and driven to ensure a positive client experience for the firm’s distinct but integrated Business & IT Consulting Practice. This rapidly growing practice area of the firm advises clients on business process and best practices. Through Business Process Assessments, we aim to understand each client’s process and provide insight into improvements that could be made to save them time and money. Clients will often go on with the AAF team to select a software solution that will also aid in these efficiencies.

The Business Consulting Senior Associate is responsible for providing solutions for a diverse client base, ranging from a few to thousands of employees and from manufacturing to non-profits. As the Business Consulting Senior Associate, you will work with the rest of the business team to complete business process improvement identification and implementation engagements as needed. These engagements require interviewing the client to gain a complete understanding of their current processes, documenting current workflows and identifying areas of improvement, either in process or systems. This requires a working knowledge of business process best practices and experience in communicating on a very high level with CEOs, CFOs and other directors.

The Business Consulting Senior Associate would also assist in the follow up engagement, if needed, to select a better software solution for their processes. AAFCPAs recommends the best solution we can find for the client’s needs, which requires both a working understanding of common systems as well as a working knowledge of the basics of what a system needs to do in order to research any other options.

Along with these responsibilities, the Business Consulting Senior Associate will also aid in completing compliance and other attestation examinations such as SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports as needed with the rest of the team. As there are often business and IT portions of each of these types of reports, the Business Consulting Senior Associate will aid in the business portion and any other admin functions required by the reporting standards.
