Application Analyst

Description Summary/Objective:The Application Analyst is responsible for providing guidance for the evaluation of software applications. This individual will perform a detailed check of the databases, data records, technical workflows and other software-related functionalities of the company. Ensure that the developed application has been designed and implemented to meet the end user's expectations. Analyze and review enhancements for compatibility, adhere to operating guidelines, and perform integration testing. This position reports directly to the Director of Technology.Essential Functions:• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: • Knowledgeable in electronic data interchange (EDI) processes and integration cloud-based software solutions (Dell Boomi, Salesforce.com a plus). • Monitor applications for compliance to company IT standards and policies. • Responsible for product order tracking and cancellations, and effectively communicating with vendor partners. • Manage internal support tickets and work with a diverse group of company team members to troubleshoot a variety of computer software issues. • Research and analyze business problems to determine if systems' solutions are advisable and available. • Assist in troubleshooting application issues with the business and IT partners. • Build close working relationships with both business and IT partners. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Manage critical business software and analyst continuous improvement. • Be able to design a project; and see it through the testing and implementation phase through understanding business needs and functions. • Able to excel in a manufacturing/distribution facility and thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Hands-on experience using a WMS platform (Red Prairie/HighJump/Manhattan) in a Distribution/Logistics facility. • Must be able to multi-task, manage time constraints, and meet deadlines. • Web portal administration experience. • Experience with custom development, integration and managing 3rd party cloud solutions is a plus. Requirements Required Education and Experience ·Bachelor's degree or higher in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. ·At least three years of experience with the implementation of new software, operating systems, and Application platforms. ·Experience with programming report writing (ex. PHP.NET, VB), Oracle and/or SQL.
