Position: IT Project Manager

Location: Los Angeles, California

Duration: 12 Months (with possible extension)

The qualified candidate must possess the following skills and experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology and Software development Project Management.
  • 3+ years of experience participating in full-cycle Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including project planning, requirements tracking, design and development oversight, testing, implementation, technical documentation, post-deployment support and project closeout.
  • 3+ years of work experience gathering and documenting business requirements (including functional, user, and system requirements).
  • Solid knowledge and experience delivering agile, iterative development and design-build projects.
  • Experience in prototyping, process flow design/development, and using project management tools.
  • Proficient understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts.
  • Efficient and effective in the management of project resources
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills when interacting with all levels of management, customers, project team and staff.
  • Strong project management, analysis and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing projects using different frameworks including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban.
  • Excellent ability to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks, and meet deadlines for delivering assigned tasks.
  • Capable of adapting to changing situations and shifting priorities.
  • High proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the project team, staff, and other City departments.
  • Experience working respectfully in a culturally diverse work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and with teams.
  • Proficiency in Technical Documentation.
  • Ability to gather, interpret and evaluate complex information and data.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio and PowerPoint required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and proficiency in using Microsoft Access, Google Suite and Gmail are strongly desired.
  • Ability to create complex spreadsheets, dashboards, and reports.
