Job Description
Help our Data Scientists, Engineers, Researchers, and Product teams discover new insights and better understand our Twitter customers. You'll have an immediate impact by shipping new features to our internal libraries for platforms including JupyterLab and Looker. You'll collaborate with our partner platform teams and directly hear feedback from our partners to build visualization solutions with their needs top of mind.
As a Senior Engineer on the Visualization Team, you will
Redesign the library architecture and improve development workflows including build, deployment, and testing frameworks
Collaborate on a small team with big goals; we rely on each other and don't hesitate to ask for help when needed
Embrace challenges ranging from keeping up with the latest web technologies to biweekly visualization readings, curiosity and continuous learning are a must
Identify the appropriate visualization methods that should be applied to solve specific business questions
Team members currently work remotely on Pacific Time (pre-Covid19 we worked from the San Francisco office).
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as a web software engineer
- Fluent in Python and Javascript
- Experience with modern web technologies such as React, Redux, Typescript, and webpack
- (Bonus) Experience with open source projects, libraries, and/or JupyterLab extension development
