Manufacturing Engineer II or Sr. Manufacturing Engineer | Direct Hire | St. Paul, MN | Medical Device Industry | $70-$102k + Bonus Eligibility

Your Role & Responsibilities
  • Support manufacturing operations team with process variability, performance analysis, equipment troubleshooting, and internal/external nonconformance investigations as needed
  • Initiate and drive process improvements based on engineering and production priorities in the areas of yield, quality, and cost, using appropriate methodology such as Six Sigma DMAIC, Design of Experiments (DOE), lean (waste elimination, time studies, line balancing) and hypothesis testing
  • Provide education, instruction, and training to technicians and operators on new and revised processes
  • Responsible for manufacturing technical support as required during project/process validation and transfer to sustained production
  • Participate or lead in engineering led teams focused on developing new products and processes with specific emphasis on design for manufacturability
  • Assist in new equipment identification, procurement, installation qualification, document creation, and training
  • Ensure technical accomplishments and other testing are fully documented for reference and traceable through company systems

What is Required for this Role:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Engineering realm
  • Regulated Industry experience
  • 2-15 years' experience as a Manfuacturing Engineer
  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing equipment and process characterization. Knowledgeable of formal process improvement tools such as Six Sigma DMAIC, lean, DOE, and capability analysis
  • Capable of effectively improving processes with minimal direction and information
  • Basic SolidWorks CAD/CAM training desired or equivalent job experience
  • Ability to create and read engineering drawings and assist in process and product development
  • Demonstrate high level of initiative, critical thinking and creativity
    • Experience with medical products and/or product assembly a plus
