Systems Administrator - Berrien Springs (Full-Time)

SUMMARY:
  • Responsible for the development, support and maintenance of the HCU system and it's server infrastructure.
  • Follows processes and procedures for the proper implementation of new technology that will enhance our team's ability to serve our members.
  • Leverages industry best practices to secure, backup, monitor, and maintain server components.
  • Serves as an escalation point and mentor for junior members of the department.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: College Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, and/or applicable work towards MCSA/MCSE certifications. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of the principles, operations and capabilities of current high speed communications network hardware, software and protocols.
  • Knowledge of the principles of communications systems operations, maintenance, monitoring and control.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Five to Eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Must have demonstrated ability to keep finances in order.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn and teach others.
