Job Description
Build and maintain relationships with Tradewin customers through proactive email and verbal
Compile and prepare regulatory document(s) as required by US Customs and Border Protection to support the Reconciliation entry process.
Compile and prepare ACE data, as per client instruction (either working directly in ACE to run reports, or to review reports as provided by clients.
Attend required training sessions to learn more about potential regulatory changes that affect daily tasks
Attend required training sessions to learn about Tradewin processes, procedures, systems, and record keeping requirements
Read, analyze and interpret complex procedures or regulations and write correspondence and procedural documents that will have internal and/or external audience.
Train new team members, as may be needed
Conduct research as necessary to find valuation errors on Reconciliation templates
Recommend solutions to common problems
Qualifications
Proven communication skills – both verbal and written
Some college level Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics preferred
Ability to work within demanding deadlines
Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications
Comfort with reviewing, manipulating, and auditing data in Excel or Access
Must be flexible, have the ability to adapt to rapidly changing workloads
Superior planning and organizational skills, must be able to multi-task and be a self-starter
Willingness to work as needed to cover peak demand time periods
Comfort and experience establishing priorities and accomplishing multiple tasks with same or similar due dates
Previous experience with the Customs Reconciliation Entry process preferred
Tradewin has found that successful reconciliation entry specialists come from a variety of disciplines, but most often come from a background in customs brokerage entry writing, accounting, mathematics, or auditing.
