Our dedication to delivering the highest quality products and unique business positioning, provides our team members with the unique ability to contribute in a larger capacity than is possible in typical positions.Position DescriptionAs a Data Center Operations Engineer with proven Systems Administration skills, you will be responsible for supporting our Facilities Systems and working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Within 30 days become familiar with the physical facilities you will be supporting as well as start forming a plan for improvements you can implement
  • By 60 days be ablle to present a project plan of what improvements Applied Medical can make to its existing infrastructure and/or equipment
  • After 90 days be in a position to quote out the presented project plan and build a budget that can be presented to upper management
  • Maintain equipment/environment in the Data Centers and Data Closets
  • Coordinate with other teams to get critical projects done
  • Work with the network to troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Coordinate and manage IT projects and communicate findings to multiple teams
  • Manage work with Vendors for maintenance, purchasing and project purposes
Position RequirementsThis position requires the following skills and attributes:
  • Proven experience with Systems Administration
  • Experiencing working with building management systems (WebCTRL from Automated Logic)
  • Experiencing working with power management systems (PME from Schneider)
  • Knowledge of common building management protocols like Modbus and BACne
  • Knowledge of basic TCP/IP principles
  • Comfort or willingness to work with power tools
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 40lbs
  • 2-5 years of experience with a helpdesk
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • High level of planning and organization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
