Facebook is seeking a Manager for its newly expanded Ecosystems analytics team in the Advertising and Business Products (ABP) division.In this role, you will drive analytical work critical to informing and supporting Facebook Inc.'s ABP short and long-term strategy. The ABP Ecosystems team works across the company's core monetization teams and is tasked with understanding the key levers and risks in the seventy billion dollar business across the family of apps. As an analytics leader, you will work with cross-functional partners and other data scientists and data engineers on both long and short-term analyses, communicating findings and recommendations to Facebook executives.You will be responsible for defining and overseeing the execution of complex data investigation projects. This will involve identifying, collecting and analyzing relevant data to derive and present unique insights. You will be expected to provide meaningful recommendations and actionable strategies to key stakeholders, and develop best practices, including streamlining of data sources and related programmatic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience and passion for solving ambiguous and challenging problems in ads, business, or economic fields. Additionally, you will have a proven track record of thought leadership and impact in developing high quality analytics programs and working across functions to uncover and shape data-driven recommendations.

  • Manage a team of data scientists working cross-functionally across Facebook
  • Supervise the design, prototyping, and implementation of complex analyses on Facebook Inc.'s ads and business ecosystem
  • Partner with relevant engineering, data science, and research teams across Facebook Inc. to identify problems and analyze data relevant to informing the direction of ABP's future
  • Plan, lead, and be able to conduct as needed, timely analyses on Facebook Inc.'s ads revenue business
  • Effectively communicate insights and recommendations on company strategy to key company executives
  • 3+ years of experience in managing other team members in a formal or informal capacity
  • 4+ years of experience doing quantitative analysis
  • 2+ years of experience in an analytical role in a technology company, consulting, investment banking, or product management
  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Experience communicating the results of analysis
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or related quantitative field
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, experience with packages, such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.
