Manager, Business Intelligence

Our growth has enabled us to create anew role. Weseeka talented individual to manage our Business Intelligence Embedded Team. In this high visibility role, you ll be leading Medline s Embedded BI team dedicated to specific business units. You will create significant value by collaborating with business stakeholders to help create effective BI solutions to advance Medline s data and analytics. This role requires strong data analysis skills, the ability to manage up to customers, the ability to work with multiple business and technical stakeholders, and deliver value through data. Key Responsibilities and Competencies:

• Leadership: Recruits, hires, and leads a team of BI developers, analysts and data modelers. Coordinates the work between business partners and on and offshore locations.
• Value Creation: Identifies and prioritizes BI projects through cost/benefit analyses. Proactively works with partners in identifying areas in which analytics efforts can produce a strong value add. Ensures program targets are achieved and accurately quantifies value creation following project implementation.
• Change Management: Reviews and approves BI changes and partners with IT Change Board members to perform impact assessments.
• Documentation: Reviews and approves documentation to support the BI team.
• Administrative: Conducts performance reviews, manages project plans and sets team goals.
• Team player: Works closely with other business and IT functional areas and overseas resources to accomplish Medline s reporting objectives.
• Manages the BI team in project/performance management, scheduling, support, execution, strategy, and SOPs.
• Coaches, develops, mentors, and trains team members to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy, accountability, and compliance of department standards.
• Responsible for collaborating with centralized BI team for comprehensive and consistent data models.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining team culture.

• A minimum Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related Information Technology field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 4 years of work experience in Business Intelligence, including analytics roles with a focus on problem solving with data.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience managing team(s)
• Familiarity with data modeling/data engineering.
• Familiarity with Business Objects, Tableau, Tibco Data Virtualization, SAP HANA, Azure and/or Talend applications is a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency for gathering and translating business requirements into tangible work products.
• Demonstrated proficiency for working in fast paced work environments in a matrixed organization.
• Ability to self-direct and accomplish objectives as part of larger project teams.
• Demonstrated proficiency for complex problem solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
