Datacenter Infrastructure specialist Location: Los Angeles, CA (Remote until COVID restrictions) Contract Required skills Window Server Administrator , Datacenter Management , Knowledge of ServiceNOW Tool, MS Excel: To perform Concatenation, Vlookups, Pivot Table etc., for data analysis activities Job Description

• Decommission Servers- Assist in the decommissioning of approximately 100 physical and virtual servers per month: Review the ServiceNow queue to identify or validate the servers that are to be decommissioned, reconcile the list and check against AD (Active Directory). Prepare a plan for physical removal of servers from Data Center.
• Maintain Equipment Inventory-Maintain an accurate inventory diagram & spreadsheet to reflect the correct model numbers, serial numbers, and locations of equipment in the data center.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating system (2008 2016)
• Understanding of hardware like HP . how to access ilo and review gather information
• Understanding and working knowledge of Service now how to navigate and update records as needed
• Understanding and working knowledge of VMware Vcenter and virtualization. Ability to research VM and its content as part of server research to address server decommissioning.
• Working knowledge of Active directory to research objects, and how to disable and move objects in active directory.
• Basic knowledge of storage system such as Nimble, Netapp, 3 PAR to check storage space from VMware Console.
• Ability to troubleshoot and evaluate systems and compare records in Service now to identify the right record to be decommissioned.
• Advance knowledge of Excel and office product.
