Although we have grown significantly, we intend to maintain a culture of individual responsibility and self-management.Job DescriptionThe OpportunityThe Mission of this colleague will be to provide all Colleagues ready access to accurate and timely reports in order to improve Colleague productivity.The nature of this role is not conducive working remotely. Our ideal person for this role will combine the needed technical skill with a genuine curiosity to understand and explore the context of the data being reported. These, along with a true service orientation will make for the superstar we want to meet.The Report Developer is primarily responsible for creating and maintaining the companys Microsoft Business Intelligence reporting products used by Accounting/Administration, Manufacturing and Agricultural colleagues. Additional responsibilities include data warehouse creation and maintenance and query/report development. This role is expected to be based in our Woodland office.Colleague is expected to be the subject matter expert for Data Reporting via:- Development of visual reports, dashboards, mobile and paginated reports with SSRS.- Connecting to various data sources, importing data, and transforming data for BI use.- Manage the distribution of reports with data driven and scheduled subscriptions in SSRS.- Perform work on site in a self-managed environment while collaborating with fellow colleagues to accurately complete reporting requirements under tight timelines.Primary Functions:- Understand existing MSSQL database structures and tables, in order to create Operational and Dashboards, store procedures, and views to produce reports in SSRS.- Work with limited database documentation to build accurate queries directly in SQL. This may require some reverse engineering of existing stored procedures and reports written by other colleagues and developers to fulfill requirements.- Review and optimize existing queries written by other developers for reporting from Operations and Financial transactional databases.- Work with Business Unit colleagues to determine development needs for data automation, dashboards, and reporting requirements- Conduct technical analysis into data integrity.- Develop and maintain data warehouse for KPI reporting and analysis.- Develop and maintain SSIS packages for importing large complex spreadsheets into SQL databases for BI use.QualificationsKnowledge of, and practical experience with specific tools or technologies used to perform job include (but are not limited to): SSRS, SSIS, SSMS, T-SQL and Oracle SQL, MS Office 365.If you happen to have experience with the following, we consider it a plus:- Accounting or time and attendance software- Power BI, SSAS (Tabular)- BrightSign / BrightAuthor digital signage- EDIAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
