RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client a large medical device company in San Juan Capistrano, CA is looking for a Senior Desktop Support Individual with recent experience working on Windows Migration Projects from Windows 7 to Windows 10Duties/Responsibilities: Upgrading Windows 7/Office 2010 to Windows 10/Office365; Either an in-place/existing machine upgrade or to a new machine upgrade Microsoft OneDrive data backup and Outlook PST Import Supporting the upgrades of Desktops & Laptops from Windows 7 to either a new system on Windows 10, or an in-place upgrade to Windows 10 or an upgrade to Igel Linux OS and providing end users support post upgrade Scheduling the end user upgrade including proper communication with end users on timeline and ETA of migration completion Physically remove old hardware and install new hardware at a given site for a user; Able to lift 10lbs to assist in the client's ITAM Hardware Disposal Process Assist in troubleshooting of hardware and software problems for desktop and laptop computers; Install hardware and software on workstations; Utilize ticketing system, when necessary; Re-image computers perform data migrations and restorations, and conduct remote problem solving when required Resource may be required to travel depending on the site they work at; Mileage reimbursement between client sites will be paidREQUIREMENTS: 6+ years of prior experience in an onsite desktop support role is required Windows 7 Proficiency Office/Outlook 2010 Proficiency Windows 10 Proficiency Office/Outlook 365 Proficiency User Data/Email migration (OneDrive & conventional data transfer) Understanding of Laptop/Desktop Encryption (Bitlocker & Credant) Microsoft SCCM Application Deployment IT Asset Management tasks Citrix Workspace familiarity Needs to have excellent software and hardware troubleshooting skills Ability to interact with various departments within the organization and communicate to various management levels Must possess a working knowledge of hardware components, hardware configurations, and have strong software experience Ability to work independently and as a large national team Experience supporting Onsite, Remote and VPN users/sites Experience providing timely updates on progress and update metric spreadsheet daily Will be required to provide post upgrade end user support Must have good written and verbal communication skills via email, phone and face to face interactions with customers/end users (following covid19 & social distancing policies) with proper ethicsKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
