Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking to add a Flight Test Engineering & Analysis Manager 2 to our team. These leadership roles will be located in Vandenberg AFB, CA and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. What you will get to do:

  • Manage a diverse team of flight test engineers and analysts
  • Develop software tools and use MBSE tools to analyze missile performance/accuracy in compliance with the SOW
  • Perform analysis of all major missile subsystems for compliance with the weapon systems specification and the TEMP
  • Perform root-cause analysis for out of tolerance and anomalous test data results
  • Prepare the Weapon System Effectiveness Report
  • Work with Western Range for range asset capabilities and availability
  • Analyze GPS and telemetry for weapon system performance

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. GBSDJObsQualifications:Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM Field with 7 years of experience in Flight Test Operations, or 5 years with a Master's degree or 3 years with a PhD.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance investigated within the last 5 years.
  • 2 years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
  • 1 year of Program/Project Management Experience leading a Team of Engineers
  • 1 year experience with Flight Test of a Rocket System
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Agile experience
  • Prior experience with Instrumentation, data acquisition and test automation systems
  • Prior experience leading large cross-functional teams
  • Experience in Data Analysis of Flight Test Operations
  • Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF and SysML
  • Experience using CAMEO software
