- We're in search of a Manufacturing Engineer who can work with company team members to provide training / mentoring / and information conducive with the strategic training needs of that employee.
- Work Interdependently in adherence with company policy, procedures, and established best practices.
- Contribute Proactively in a cross functional capacity to assure known failure modes with high risk are addressed in a robust manner during launch.
- Assure objectives are completed on time and within budget parameters.
- Participate in Technical Reviews with the Customer during Estimating / Feasibility.
- Participation of Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plan development
- CNC programming experience is preferred, including 4th / 5th axis applications
- Solid Understanding of TOC / LEAN is preferred
- Review of sources of variation including Material Handling, Machining, Assembly, and Metrology
- Responding to alerts received regarding SPC notifications.
- Participate in both Customer & Supplier 8D and 5 why meetings
- Own assigned corrective actions, report out on progress and drive to closure
- Respond to out of specification alerts based on CMM layouts
- Review of Line Metrics
- Action Items / ECR's for improvements in Safety, Throughput, Quality, or Communication
- Participating in and reacting to objectives created from Layered Process Audits
- Positively reinforcing best practices when interacting with Line Operators on the Plant Floor
- Review of the Constraints within the Manufacturing Process (Man, Machine, Method) for possible improvements and associated Return of Investment if applicable.
- Selection and usage of best practice work holding / tooling / and metrology devices
- Review and Refinement of cycle times
- Creating and Auditing to Standardized Work
- Working in Proactive Manner with emphasis on preventing failure modes
- Reacting to Failure Modes not prevented, with a robust approach to assure effectiveness and a reduced risk for recurrence
