A computer vision startup with a B2B solution for automating the retail space is hiring a Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this position will start remote with the expectation to work in the San Francisco office once it is safe to do so. The Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer will own the entire infrastructure. This includes deploying their 10 live global products, improving the Jenkins pipeline, and making the entire environment infrastructure as code with Terraform. To see success in this role, the Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer needs to be able to know how to code to write quality internal tools and general automation. This person also needs to have experience with large Docker deployments and Kubernetes. Tech environment includes: GCP, Python, C, Terraform, Docker, GKE Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Software Developer, Engineer, or similar position.
- Expert with public cloud technology (GCP, Azure, or AWS)
- Experience with large scale containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, or GKE)
- Experience creating Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Experience writing code, developer productivity tools, or related experience with Python, C, or C.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree.
- 40% Automation and tooling
- 30% Tackling scaling challenges with Docker, GKE, GCP, etc.
- 30% Working on deployments and improving Jenkins pipeline.
