Location: Southfield, MI Salary: Flexible Description: Mid-Level IT Project Manager Location: Remote BUT MUST BE LOCAL to metro Detroit, MI is needed as this could turn into a long term or direct position, on site would be required in the future but at least will be 6 months out. Duration: 1+ year (Possible to transition to direct if a good organizational fit) Pay Rate Target Range: $45-$52/hour W2 (Slightly flexible depending on candidate experience) Interview: Phone screen with PM Director; Video interview with IT Team and Executive stakeholder Start Date: ASAP - process should move quickly and direct feedback from decision maker No C2C or Visas as this has high possibility of transitioning to direct hire in the future Key Factors: Strong professional presentation skills; need to be polished enough to handle presenting project plans and updates to Executive Team PMP highly preferred No specific technology experience required; would favor candidates with Real Estate or Financial Organization experience MS Office and MS Project experience Six Sigma process exposure/certifications are highly favorable but not mandatory Will be working in small IT organization and supporting projects that are not technology specific; must be flexible to work on a variety of projects that may be business focused This Project Manager position will be responsible for all plans, schedules, assignments, and deliverables to manage strategic business projects (including changes in systems, processes, and organization) through all phases of the Project Lifecycle. This position contains the following primary functions: Organizes and manages projects across multiple IT and Business functions, adhering to budgets, developing project plans, scheduling work assignments, and monitoring progress Manages the creation, approval of and adherence to detailed work plans across IT and Business groups and resources Coordinates and interfaces with other internal and third party/vendor resources to manage dependencies and successful execution of the project Defines and manages the execution of cross-functional, integrated testing plans involving IT and Business teams Manages contact with stakeholders and team members through the completion of the project Manages changes to scope, schedule and project costs Provides status reports, tracking and managing risks and issues, and escalating where necessary Provides analysis of project including Business Case, ROI and Post Project Review Drives innovation, best practices, and the achievement of strategic objectives Plans and when needed writes and delivers communications and process documentation around projects. Performs other related duties as assigned. SKILLS REQUIRED Bachelor's Degree required PMP Certification strongly preferred Experience in creating and documenting process. Yellow or Greenbelt experience is nice to have. Minimum of 4 years of Project Management experience with experience leading executive level stakeholders on project. Experience working with a PMO team structure including use of governance process and driving accountability at all levels of the organization. Project management experience through large-scale business projects is strongly preferred Primary focus is on key Project Management characteristics including: Strategic Thinking, Executive Presence, Business Partnering & Business Acumen ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Experience managing large cross functional business and IT teams and/or multiyear projects. Expertise with standard software products for project management including MS Office Suite, MS Project and Visio, and Portfolio and Resource Management tools, including MS Project or similar tools Strong communication skills; verbal, written and presentation Ability to interface effectively with multiple functions/organizations to identify and negotiate project required resources Strong team leadership and ability to provide day-to-day task direction to team members Ability to conduct effective team meetings both onsite and virtual Detail oriented with good time management and organizational skills to meet critical deadlines Flexible about changes in project requirements and shifting priorities Ability to interface and present to all levels of the organization Ability to effectively multiple projects at the same time Ability to manage across formal organizational lines Ability to assign responsibility to all levels of the project and project teams accountable for deliverables Please send qualified resume to: kbarrymore@judge.com Contact: kbarrymore@judge.comThis job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
