Job Description

The Commercialization Project Manager is responsible for leadership and coordination of cross-functional teams to enable effective execution of new product development projects. The position acts as a liaison between the leadership team/project teams and is responsible for project navigation and leading teams through critical checkpoints, including analysis and prioritization of risks and opportunities.

The ideal candidate should employ effective problem solving and should be able to easily adapt in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment where priorities shift from day to day. The candidate should be an objective leader representing cross-functional team members by connecting through positive and respectful interactions. Be approachable, listen actively and stay open to new ideas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

Be a subject matter expert on product commercialization process, supporting & executing key processes and procedures for company initiatives

Work closely with key stakeholders (sourcing, R&D, operations, engineering, quality, product management) to develop project plans

Organize and run regular (ad hoc) project meetings, ensuring all key stakeholders agree to what they need to do/own

Demonstrate responsible and professional business leadership holding cross-functional team members accountable for project deliverable deadlines

Liaise with multiple functions regularly to build relationships, collaboratively problem solve, and drive projects to completion

Communicate risks to delivering and develop mitigation plans

Conduct postmortem analysis with key functional team key stakeholders to highlight wins, losses, and solves for negative outcomes

Improve random weight marketing processes & procedures to execute flawlessly for our customers

  • Lead weekly cross-functional team meetings and ensure information is shared appropriately with leadership team
    • Communicate progress and flag delays in timelines by understanding the critical path of the project at hand
    • Analyze cause and effect of timeline changes
    • Identify actionable items and update trackers for: regulatory, formulas, graphics, SAP
  • SAP management
    • Create basic SAP data & update tracker
    • Create New Product Worksheets & prioritize tracker
    • Complete manufacturing extensions
    • Validate BOM setup

Qualifications

5+ years experience in Project Management in Manufacturing Environment or Marketing role

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Solid understanding of financial reporting, consumer goods industry, and business management fundamentals

Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP system

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent presentation skills with both large and small audiences

Excellent project management and organizational skills

Demonstrated analytical ability

MBAandTwo years of experience in a marketing role

Physical Requirements:

Ability to travel

Ability to obtain/have a valid CA Driver’s License & obtain reliable transportation for business travel

Consistent and reliable attendance

Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure situations

Ability to lift 30 pounds
