Job DetailsOverviewThe Marketing Cloud Technical Product Owner is responsible for understanding business requirements and delivering high-quality technical solutions that empower the Marketing teams to utilize the Marketing Cloud automation platform. This new position will support the Retention Marketing and e-Commerce teams with building custom queries, email templates, amp script-based dynamic templates, automation jobs, and build out comprehensive customer journeys. In additon to supporting the Marketing Cloud platform in regards to email marketing and retention, this position will support the integration and optimization between the Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Commerce Cloud platforms.ResponsibilitiesProvide high quality code solutions to meet business needs in the implementation, enhancement and support of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Exact Target platform centric projects.Support the continued growth of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions.Translate business objectives and marketing plans into well-designed solutions that best leverageSFMC's capabilities.Proactively provide ideas and solutions towards the improvement of the process and the business.Work with business units to understand new and optimized marketing campaigns and translate into platform capabilities.Focus primarily on the development of email communications leveraging Content Builders tool, HTML and CSS where necessary in partnership with our Retention Marketing team.Use SFMC Ampscript, scripting language, to build dynamic content into HTML.Use SFMC Rest and Soap API's that share a common authentication mechanism based on OAuth 2.Use SFMC's email studio, automation studio, journey builder, contact builder, SQL.Adopts industry and Responsive/adaptive email best practices.Manage and monitor templates in marketing cloud and troubleshoot as necessary.Implement email programs within ESP tool limitations.Manage change requests and provide quick and efficient solutions.Manage change in fast paced environment with campaign managers and stakeholders.Develop and execute relevant testing strategies for operational tasks.Work collaboratively as a member of an end-to-end lead management, cross-functional, global team.Unit test and work with QA teams to fix bugs and certify capabilities and products.Implement necessary compliance measures as it pertains to North American and global data and email regulations.Perform other tasks as assigned.QualificationsLeadership Expectations:Operate with the highest level of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality; setting the example for leaders and associates.Develop and nurture strong cross functional partnerships; driving business results and inspiring a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.Serve as a PSEB advocate in the industry and marketplace.Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent that delivers performance excellence.Serve as a leader of company culture, norms, and conduct.Ability to balance a strong management presence with a high level of approachability, encouraging and eliciting associate feedback and interaction.Education/Experience Required:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent job experience3+ years' experience with major email service provider. Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience preferred.Must have Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer certification. Marketing Cloud Consultant certification is a plus.Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) / Exact Target platform.Proficiency with SFMC Content Builder tool Develop HTML emails using SFMC WYSIWYG, HTML and CSS as well as Marketing Cloud Server Side JavaScript and Guide Template Language.Experience with providing recommendations on process optimizations and improvements to business stakeholders.Experience with SFMC and SFCC integrationDeep technical knowledge of marketing automation and CRM systemsKnowledge of e-commerce and or Retail business processes preferredMust be self-motivatedStrong time management and multi-taking skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills; able to provide written and verbal communication with little or no supervisionExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to work within a team frameworkAbility to be flexible to the rapidly changing needs of the department and companyDemonstrates a professional attitude and shows integrity in all submitted workProficient using Microsoft Office products, including VisioProficient in writing SQL queriesInterested in hearing more?
