Assistant Project Manager

A luxury home builder in the Lake Tahoe and Truckee area is accepting resumes for an Assistant Project Manager.

Job Description:

The Assistant Project Manager will manage, coordinate, and monitor all the personnel and resources to complete a project on time and within budget. The applicant must be able to visualize the finished product and provide leadership to the team. Leadership includes skills in communication, problem solving, decision making, organization, and record keeping.

Responsibilities:

Order plans and project documents

Review estimates/bid proposals

Review scope of work within the project specifications

Assist in preparation of submittals to clients

Manage subcontractor terms and conditions process

Process new permits

Management, Budgeting, Scheduling

Familiarity of project budgets

Perform job cost analysis

Execute change orders and plan changes

Execute end of project documents

Employee Management

Coordinate tasks with Project Manager

Communicate and assist Project Superintendents

Assist with coding labor

Familiarity of daily activity on all projects

Skill and Qualifications

Four year bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent field experience

Strong working knowledge of customary contract language and provisions

Skill in managing the review, negotiation, and execution of contracts, and establishing systems to ensure compliance with contract terms

Experience managing workflow and contracts regarding construction projects, including RFI’s and CO’s

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent verbal and written skills

Strong software experience: Excel, Word, Pipeline or Project Management Software
