Warehouse/Onsite Customer Support

POSITION SUMMARY

Starting salary is $17 an hour and onsite at Ditch Witch

Onsite point of contact for customers plant operations (purchasing, materials, line operations). Receives materials and maintains inventory at customer’s facility. Executes inventory put-away, answers questions, helps solve problems or directs customer to correct Wurth contact, and works with customer on future demand parameters. Part of continuous improvement process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains inventory level at customers location. Scans empty point-of-use bins, receives product from warehouse, and puts inventory away. Tracks inventory, product orders and deliveries.

Contacts Wurth customer service representative to process expedites, as necessary.

Works with customer and other company departments to determine usage patterns, bin/rack placement and logistics improvements.

Assists in new product implementations, bin movements and bin location redesigns.

Maintains cleanliness of point-of-use product areas, including goods-to-be-returned area.

Working with other company departments, handles any issues or concerns brought up by the customer. Works proactively to solve potential issues. Follows up on customer inquiries not immediately resolved.

Assists in processing MRNs & Corrective Actions.

Looks for additional product Würth Adams can supply and forwards leads to sales department.

Recommends and implements process improvements.

May drive company delivery vehicles.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Prior work experience in warehouse environment, manufacturing facility, customer service or similar position.

Ability to read & interpret documents such as training instructions, shipping tickets, purchase orders, procedure manuals, etc.

Ability to explain in writing and verbally status of work orders, product information, shipping instructions etc., internally and to customers.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and efficiently.

Working Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Requires lifting ability of up to 80 pounds, with frequent lifting of 40-60 pounds. Requires a lot of walking on a concrete surface in a plant environment.

Ability to understand and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Work is performed in customers’ facilities and will have a wide range of conditions.
