Sr Software Engineer

• As a software manager in the ML and data platform team, you will lead a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and owning software products in support of data science, machine learning, and robotics development. This involves close collaborations across multiple groups inside Blue River. You will also help our engineers grow by encouraging best practices and developing more efficient engineering processes. In partnership with our product management and sr. management in this group, you will help guide the direction of ML and data platforms as well as Blue River at large.

• Strong Python/Javascript programmer
• Exceptional leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Direct experience working on projects using public cloud based technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP)
• Professional experience developing data intensive software: including design, architecture, implementation, debugging and support
• Technical mentoring or management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, or STEM disciplines
• Open to listening to and incorporating feedback; committed to continual learning

• Developing platforms supporting machine learning, such as Kubeflow or Kubernetes
• Developing in data analysis and visualization ecosystems: e.g., Jupyter Lab, Matplotlib, D3.
• Exposure to machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Experience working closely with data science and machine learning teams
