An Ophthalmic Practice is seeking to hire a Part-Time Screening Coordinator.
The Screening Coordinator is a critical position within the practice which assists in ensuring the health & safety of all patients and staff who enter the Clinic. While the status of this position is currently listed as temporary, we are looking for individuals with plenty of consistent availability and whom can commit to the position for the foreseeable months to come. This position is ideal for local college students, new grad, service & hospitality professionals, those who are seeking to enter the healthcare field, and anyone looking for consistent part-time to full-time hours. Excellent customer services skills are required.
Primary Scope of Responsibilities:
Screens all employees, visitors, and patients according to CDC guidelines upon entering the clinic.
Conducts temperature screening, following process. Coordinator will need to follow process using PPE for screening to protect themselves and others. Coordinator will follow procedure for sterilizing thermometers after each use. Coordinator will open and close the screening table daily, properly storing all materials and disposing of trash from the day’s screenings. Answers questions as appropriate and/or directs to appropriate staff member

Demonstrates the ability to assess and interact with patients, employees and guests of the Clinic of all ages, recognizing language and learning barriers, and technology challenges.
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong customer service skills is required
Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations required
Ability to concentrate and show attention to detail required
Ability to follow instructions
Strong interpersonal skills required
Ability to work independently required
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English required
Education/Certification Requirements:
Clinical Training, Certification or Education Preferred
Additional Duties: The Screening Coordinator will assist the Front Office Team with administrative and operations tasks such as special projects as assigned, assists employees and customers with questions or issues and/or directs to appropriate managers while maintaining confidentiality, security, and professionalism at all times.
