Ophthalmic Technician

Busy ophthalmology practice on Maui is seeking a hardworking, friendly and motivated ophthalmic technician.

COA, COT, and/or COMT applicants are encouraged to apply.

Tasks include obtaining ocular, medical, and family history, measuring visual acuity, manifest refractometry, motility and pupil testing, measuring intraocular pressure by applanation tonometry, instilling ocular medications, instructing patients regarding medications, tests, and procedures, coordinate patient flow, participating in telephone triage .

Specific skills in contact lens fitting, automated Humphry Visual Fields, OCT, Immersion A scans, IOL Master.

Willing to train the right individual.

Good computer skills/EMR experience is highly desirable.

Part-Time and Full-time position is available.
