Our busy Internal Medicine practice is looking to add an experienced Medical Billing Manager to our team and support 4 physicians.

Job Overview and Requirements:

This position requires you to be independent and self-sufficient with effective communication skills. You will monitor, engage with, and master billing and collections for the Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance worlds as they relate to billing in an outpatient (internal medicine) setting.

Our candidate will lead the billing process for the practice and provide ongoing education to our physicians and staff as new laws or rules are introduced, and will work to identify areas of growth and improvement.

Must have experience with Medicare, Medicare Advantage and navigating CMS rules and requirements

Experience using EPIC Resolute

Manage Epic Workqueues and all billing workflows

Evaluate accuracy and completeness of information for claim submission

Utilize EPIC billing system to process billing including electronic transmission (or paper submission if required) of claims to third party payers under corporate billing policies and procedures.

Monitor claims processing and payment.

Record payments and adjustments within the billing system.

Prepares and submits claims to third party payers, both in paper and electronic format.

Performs collections follow-up process in accordance with established procedures.

Maintains centralized billing files in an organized and consistent manner.

Document process and communications within the billing system on all claims/activities.

Participate in month end review and submission business operations team a timely manner.

Manages high volume of complex financial data that requires a high volume of accurate data entries and reconciliation.

Participate in and maintain highest level of training and knowledge on software used for billing.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in team development.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Ensures integrity and confidentiality of all patient and client financial data.

Adheres to all facility Standards of Practice as well as state and federal guidelines.

Asks for assistance when needed.

Other duties as assigned by the physicians.

This role requires approximately 30-35 hours a week, to be worked during standard office hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
