A busy, full-service marina in York Harbor, ME is seeking an Accounting / Customer Service Representative. We are a family-owned and operated company that has been in business for over 50 years, and, as we grow, we are looking to add a motivated individual to our team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communications skills along with an outgoing and pleasant disposition. Attention to detail, self-motivation and the ability to multi-task are a must. Providing support to our management team and exemplary customer service to our members and guests alike will be the core focus of this role.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

-Communicating with customers and vendors on a daily basis to direct calls and in-person visits, handle requests and inquiries of a general nature, and provide excellent customer service.

-Post daily receipts and follow up on past due invoices.

-Assist in responding to customers and vendors regarding the status of invoices and billing.

-Prepare and enter sales agreements for orders taken by the Sales Manager.

-Enter purchase orders based off of our Parts Department’s daily receiving activity.

-Assist with stocking merchandise for our retail store.

-Follow up with customers on sales and service visits to ensure satisfaction.

Skills & Qualifications:

High school or equivalent level (Required)

Associate’s Degree or higher (Preferred)

Customer Service experience: 2+ years (Required)

QuickBooks Desktop experience (Preferred)

Microsoft Excel experience (Preferred)

Boating and/or Marine experience is ideal, but not a requirement.

Job Type & Schedule:

This is a full-time position, with seasonal changes to scheduling. Our team works on-site from March through mid-December.

In our off-season (March to mid-May, and Columbus Day to mid-December), hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

In our in-season (mid-May to Columbus Day), our offices are open seven days a week, and this position’s schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.

In our winter season (mid-December to March), work can be performed remotely with occasional site visits required. Hours are flexible.

Some overtime may be required, in-season.

Compensation & Benefits:

We offer competitive pay and benefits, as well as continued opportunities for professional growth. Compensation for this position will be based upon commensurate experience. Employees are eligible for health insurance with a company contribution after six months of service, and paid vacation and sick time as well as seven paid holidays after one year of service.
