AS/400 Developer

Position: AS/400 Developer Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 6 12 Months Contract + Extensions This role will start remote until COVID is over then it will be onsite Skills Required:

• Programming Experience in AS/400, DB2 - Programming skills in RPG, RPGLE and SQLRPG in AS/400 Free format scripting.
• Excellent skill in SQL/query language and debugging
• Have the knowledge of writing complex queries
• Same time production support, ongoing application support and maintenance
• Discussion and Meetings with Business Analyst and Subject Matter Experts to understand the scope of work and business.
• Requirements gathering & impact analysis for Change Requests, service requests & enhancement projects.
• Coordination with offshore team during development, testing and code review.
• Design and Development of techniques for scheduling new components.
• Incident management and problem management handling as per the SLA.
• Strong analytical skills, Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Communicate with users to ensure developed systems meet their needs properly.
• Ability to work independently on assigned projects and tasks
• Self-motivated, strong work ethics and positive attitude.
• An excellent team player as well as an individual performer.

• Experience with UI integrations
• Experience building API's and integrating into AS/400
• Aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies
• Good to have experience with Python
