Operations Manager (Export & Freight Forwarding)

Job Description

· Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, efficient, cost-effective way

· Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service

· Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization

· Develop, implement, and maintain operation protocols, Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices

· Formulate and pursue strategic and operational objectives, Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget

· Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports and problem resolution

· Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity,

· Help the organization’s processes remain compliant with industry standards

Other duties as assigned by Management Team

Qualifications

• Ample Experience in either exportor freight forwarding
• Mandarin Chinese skills preferred
• SAP experience preferred
• Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
• Familiarity with business and financial principles
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
• Leadership ability
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to adjust priorities & manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
