As a strategic partner and member of the HR leadership team, you will beresponsible for developing a collaborative approach to talent management and workforcedevelopment operations in line with Stanislaus State's workforce needs, culture and values.Youwill support a team of HR professionals to provide services in support of the division'sobjectives and ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and applicable policies. You areresponsible for providing strategic leadership to the unit's functions and employing best practices andinnovation to deliver optimal solutions along with superior customer service.

What Will Make You Successful?

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Fiveyears’ experienceas a HR manager, HR director, or similar role to include at leasttwo of the following areas: recruitment, classification and compensation, workforce development,development/application of HR policies and procedures and three years supervisory experience.

Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire trust and confidence among colleagues, staff,faculty, and management; to work in harmony with a wide range of campus and CSU system personnel;and to serve as a member of a larger team whose purpose is to advance the mission of CSU Stanislaus.

Ability to design and implement programs and policies to cultivate a strong customer service culture inthe HR function.

Ability to develop HR practices and implement CSU and university policies that are consistent and fairto community members of all backgrounds.

Ability to foster a culture of inclusion through talent management and workforce developmentstrategies.

Demonstrated effectiveness in communications and notifying upper management of relevant issues andconcerns promptly.

Ability to initiate and draft clear and persuasive communications to advance the projects and initiativesof the unit.

Ability to lead project plans to timely completion with agility, effective resource management, and theability to proactively recognize and overcome obstacles.

Demonstrated commitment to the critical need for accurate data collection, entry, and evaluation.

Demonstrated ability to independently analyze and make decisions and recommendations regardingprograms, procedures, and operations concerning areas of responsibility.

Demonstrated understanding of the strategic relationship between effective talent management,organizational development, and core university functions.

Ability to identify process improvements, technologies, and resources to improve HR systems, forms,communications, and create efficiencies.

Demonstrated technical literacy with standard office computers and software, including proficiency withWord, Excel, PowerPoint, electronic mail, electronic scheduling; web publishing and Internetcommunication software; PeopleSoft.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a complex public sector, academic, or human resources environment is highly desirable.

Master's Degree in human resources, public administration, psychology, or related field.

Advanced experience managing full-cycle projects.

Extensive knowledge of training techniques.

Knowledge of and experience with CSU collective bargaining agreements, policies, procedures, and practices.

Knowledge of Affirmative Action Plan program administration.
