Drawbridge Operator

Starting pay $13.50/hr! Two positions. Two Shifts: (8 AM - 4 PM and 4PM - Midnight)

Two (2) Drawbridge Operator positions open for the Casco Bay Bridge in Portland, Maine. This is a very desirable opportunity to work an interesting and unique job. We are looking for safety conscience individuals with a high level of dependability to operate the bridges safely and to maintain our bridge houses in “Tip-top” shape.

Work an interesting job with views of the Maine waterways!

Paid training will be provided. Qualified candidates must be able to read and write English, follow safe opening procedures, pass drug screen and perform minor bridge house keeping maintenance.

-Two Openings:

Schedule: 8 AM - 4 PM (Thursday's & Friday's)

Schedule: 4pm - Midnight (Tuesday's & Friday's)

-Located close to the job-site a plus.

-Bridge will be manned 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

-Must be professional

-Drug-Free Workplace, must pass a drug test

-Strong attention to detail

-Reliable and dependable. Must be able to have regular, reliable and dependable attendance

-Must have good vision (corrective lenses are ok), ability to see all colors

-Must be and able to go up and down stairs

-Perform minor bridge housekeeping

-Starting pay $13.50/hr!
