We are seeking Customer Service Representatives (CSR) for a very fast paced Small Animal Veterinary Hospital. The Customer Service Representative position is highly interactive and focused on client relations. Applicants must have extremely strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with doctors and staff, clients, and referring veterinarians. This position represents the heart of the relationship between the clinic and its clients. Must be prepared to serve clients in the building as well as on the multi-line phone system. The CSR must be able to record client and patient information in medical records both on-line and hard copy and maintain all state and federal laws in regards to privacy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Takes phone calls from clients. Handles inquiries about medication, daily care, etc., and forwards more complex questions to the doctor or technicians. Creates patient file in Cornerstone for all new appointments; checks in clients upon arrival; scans in client & patient documents and attaches them to file. Processes Care Credit applications and transactions; answers client inquiries regarding financing options. Informs and reminds doctors of all waiting appointments and emergency arrivals. Shows clients into exam rooms and performs hospital tours. Verifies and updates charges for patients ready for discharge. Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, copying, collating, and faxing. Fills and refills patient prescriptions; calls in prescriptions to pharmacies when asked by DVM or Technicians.
