Pomeroy is currently seeking a IT Technician in Hopkinsville, KY for a long-term contract. The IT Technician role requires a technical professional with experience supporting customers through provisioning/de-provisioning and maintenance of multiple hardware platforms and their related software.The Desktop Support Technician will be working in and supporting a manufacturing environment. Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility in any capacity would be preferred.DUTIES/EXPERIENCE:
- Break/Fix
- Troubleshooting hardware/software issues
- Imaging computers
- Deploying software
- Troubleshooting devices
- Supporting meetings
- Setting up cell phones and other mobile devices
- Taking backups
- Monitoring local server
- Printer support
- Working with vendors on additional support
- Vendor tracking/management
- 3-5 years’ experience in desktop or IT support experience in hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and repair
- 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (either as a technician or in operation), preferred
- Knowledgeable with label printers and scanners,
- Network support and troubleshooting
- Experience with trouble ticket tracking and resolution
- Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills
- Wiling to wear steel toed shoes/boots
