The Opportunity:
A fast-growing revenue cycle management firm in Chraleston needs strategic payment posters/cash posters with recent EMR experience. Who We're Looking For:
The Payment Poster will be responsible for the posting of all Medicare, insurance, Medi-Cal and self-pay patient payments to patient accounts and perform reconciliations daily. You will be responsible for the timely, accurate and detailed posting of EOB payments, denials and adjustments. This position is responsible for posting ERAs and checks received from insurance payers and patients we care for. This candidate must be detailed oriented, have knowledge of medical billing, experience in reading EOBs, and be able to work high volumes.
Responsibilities:
Posting Insurance and 3rd party payments, adjustments and contractual using internal software
Maintain daily reconciliation of all deposits
Participate in payment posting audits
Follow up on missing payments by call payors or accessing online portals
Follow up on payor ERA enrollment
Recognize and report consistent customer trends in payment posting
Process undistributed reports and recouped payments
File payments after reviewing and approving the next status summary and the reimbursement discrepancy report
Maintain high level of productivity through speed and accuracy
What qualifications are needed?
High School diploma required, Associate degree or higher in Healthcare Management or related fields preferred
1-year related experience in medical field
Keyboarding skills above 50 wpm
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Understanding of medical terminology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
