The Opportunity:

A fast-growing revenue cycle management firm in Charleston needs strategic medical reimbursement or billing professionals with recent EMR experience. Who We're Looking For:

We're seeking medical billing professionals who have experience with all back-end aspects of the revenue cycle, including billing and claims management. Candidates should be familiar with a wide variety of third-party payors and have experience handling a high volume of claims daily and weekly, including resolving appeals and denials.

Responsibilities:

Investigates up-front denials through oral and written communication with insurance carriers

Prepares and submits appeals

Identifies negative trends with payers and works to resolve with key personnel

Interfaces with patients and customers to handle inquires, troubleshoot problems, and follows up with calls and/or written communications

Ensures that documents are complete with accurate patient billing information

Reviews processing errors and analyzes issues, identifies root causes and escalates as appropriate

Qualifications

High School diploma or G.E.D required

Accounts Receivable experience

3+ years' experience directly related in medical billing, medical claims/billing environment involving negotiation and/or problem resolution

Ability to read and understand an EOB

Intermediate knowledge of government program regulations, Medicare, and other third-party payers

Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding

Intermediate skill set with MS Excel
