Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, build and test mechanical and thermal devices, including tools, engines, and machines.

  • Provide efficient solutions (via study and record time, motion, methods and speed ) to the development of processes and products, ranging from small component designs to extremely large plant, machinery or vehicles.

  • Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine inefficiencies in manufacturing processes.

  • Identify and quantify inefficiencies/repetitive problems on manufacturing equipment and utilize statistical methods to present and support recommendations to increase productivity.

  • Prepare detailed standard operating procedures for various production or operational processes as well as repair and preventative maintenance of equipment and to verify procedures are followed

  • Gather and analyze manufacturing downtime and scrap data.

  • Coordinates, oversees, and/or manages repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians.

  • Develop labor utilization standards to promote efficient staffing.

  • Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel and materials.

  • Oversee all building mechanical systems (heating, ventilation, and A/C), building operations systems (lighting, remote environmental controls, elevator), building security systems, etc.

The successful candidate for this position will be able to take a project from the conceptual stage through to completion, taking into account budgeting and operational considerations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required (Master's preferred)

  • Licensed as a BSME

  • 8+ years' project management experience vs 4+ years' experience in an engineering leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and drafting procedures

  • Excellent prioritization and project development skills

  • Strong communication skills written and spoken English and Chinese preferred. Team-player with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.

  • Integrity, commitment/dedication, respect for others, pursuer of excellence and innovation.

  • Ability to respond and adapt quickly to changing work situations and environments.

  • Strong time management, organization, project management, and report writing skills.

  • Able to work overtime and be the primary contact person for the buildings during non-business hours.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
