Career Services Coordinator (Immediate Hire)

Tidewater Tech first began training individuals for new careers in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1983, and over the years continued to expand its educational options with a focus on the skilled trades. Since 2008, these offerings have included instruction specializing in Automotive Technology, HVAC, Welding and Building Maintenance & Repair. Tidewater Tech provides the training that is needed to become a skilled tradesman in today's demanding market.

We are always looking for qualified and experienced individuals to staff our school, and we currently have an opening for a Career Services Coordinator at our Norfolk, VA campus.

Responsibilities include:

Assist pending and recent graduates with career placement efforts according to company policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and accrediting agencies' standards and requirements

Organize career development workshops for students (i.e. resume writing, job search/interview skills, etc.)

Organize career events and employer events

Cultivate partnerships with the local business community

Create an ever-growing network of employers with whom graduates may interview

Verify and maintain graduate placement data

Complete reports as required by the company, state, federal, and accrediting agencies

Qualifications/ Requirements/ Experience:

MUST have experience in placement/recruiting, career counseling

MUST be able to work a flexible schedule that can include days and evenings.

Prefer experience in the trades industry
