CDS Mail Carrier

Currently seeking applicants to deliver mail on a CDS mail route in the Fairbanks area for a full or part time position.

Applicants must be at least 19 years of age with a valid Alaska driver's license; able to lift 70 lbs. (occasionally), able to work in all types of weather conditions.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Sorting mail in delivery sequence.

Loading mail and parcels.

Delivering mail along an assigned line-of-travel.

Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.

Minimum Vehicle and Insurance Requirements:

Applicant must furnish their OWN vehicle, which meets postal regulations, and meet postal driving requirements. Dependable vehicle that provides 120 cubic feet of usable load space for mail and parcels

The applicant is responsible for all the vehicle maintenance, fuel and insurance cost.

Employment Begins: ASAP

Work Schedule: Full time position is Monday-Saturday. Occasional Sundays as required by postal supervisor. Hours vary according to mail workload. Federal Holidays observed.

Pay: Full time position $40,000/year. Sunday’s and any extra delivery runs paid per mile.

Must be able to pass a drug test and have a criminal background history that meets the USPS standards.
