Description:SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES (Essential Functions):•The Sr. Network Engineer's role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house data, voice, and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing and developing LANs, WANs and WLANs across the organization.•The Sr. Network Engineer will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.QUALIFICATIONS:REQUIRED•Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent experience required, Cisco CCIE written or beyond strongly preferred.•Extensive experience with enterprise networking technologies, tools & processes, including routing & switching, L4-7 traffic management (e.g. load balancing), firewalls, datacenter fabric, campus networks, VoIP, wireless, as well as networking protocols such as TCP/IP, IPSec, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc.•Proficient with network operating systems such as: IOS, IOS-XE, JunOS, NXOS, Linux•Expertise working with industry best practices•Understanding and implementation of network traffic analysis for troubleshooting (Wireshark, Netflow, etc.)•In depth use of TACACS/RADIUS (ACS preferred)•In depth familiarity with SolarWinds Orion and Cisco Prime (or other NMS) preferred.•Solid experience with firewall configuration and administration. Cisco ASA, FireSight, Firepower strongly preferred.•Cisco WLC experience strongly preferred. Solid understanding of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, RF and WLAN fundamentals•Experience with F5 LTM configuration and management desirable•Ability to evaluate multiple vendor data products. Document test plans, assist in vendor selection and develop engineering to deploy if approved.•High School Diploma or equivalent is required; college degree is preferred.•Analytical and problem solving skills are required.•Ability to serve as team-lead and mentor in networking.•Must have excellent organizational skills.•Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.•Excellent documentation skills (Visio, etc.)•Fluent in English.STRONGLY PREFERRED•Experience with Cisco Unified Collaboration strongly preferred. Other experience with VoIP technology also highly desirable (e.g. CUBE, Jabber, SIP, CCX). •Juniper JunOS (SRX/MX) experience•DMVPN experience preferred•Exposure to or experience with programming/scripting languages or tools used to automate networks (e.g. Python)•Cisco UCS experience a plus•SD-WAN experience a plusADDITIONAL•Assist Manager of Network Engineering in evaluating network needs and the selection of technical solutions to meet those needs.•Assist Manager of Network Engineering in the establishment and documentation of networking standards, policies and procedures•Perform duties in non-network related areas of Network Engineering when needed and feasible.•Responsible for involvement in highest levels of error correction and comprehensive troubleshooting.•Perform work during non-business hours as requirements or business needs dictate.•Log and report work as appropriate.•Perform other duties as assigned.Skills:Cisco, routers, Cisco, switches, juniper, routers, LAN, WAN, OSPF, BGP, firewall, virtualizationTop Skills Details:1. 7+ years Cisco R/S -Network Engineering experience in an enterprise environment (installing, configurating, implementing Cisco routers and switches) 2. 7+ year experience with Data Center appliance experience (servers, storage, routers)3. 5-7 years experience with firewall administration (checkpoint or ASA)4. CCNP minimum level required; CCIE Written is preferred (actual cert not required but preferred).
