Powersports Technician Needed

Heyser Cycle is seeking to add a technician to our team. We are a high-volume Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki & Suzuki Dealership that has been in Laurel MD since 1963.

Some entry level experience required. We will take your technician experience to the NEXT Level, through good processes, high volume quality experience, all while earning your Certifications and gaining more expertise. Do you want to become a MASTER TECHNICIAN and earn Master Tech TOP PAY?

Schedule: Monday through Saturday (some overtime)

Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

-Work requires physical exertion, including rolling motorcycles in and out of the shop, applying torque to remove or replace bolts, ect.: lifting, jacking, and hoisting of motorcycle parts and components. Technicians must be physically capable of performing these task, including using proper lifting techniques on the job.

-Technician position performs routine maintenance, repair, warranty repairs, and enhancements- we are a Multi-line Dealer.

-Technicians are required to practice good job safety habits.

-Quality/Competency or work: minimal defects in procedures and products installed.

-Accuracy of written paperwork.

-Productivity, efficiency, and resultant proficiency.

-Teamwork/cooperativeness; contributions to department meetings and department improvement.

-Accept work assignments from Service Manager

-Notify Service Manager of additional work needed or any delays in expected completion as soon as they become known so that customer may be contacted and notified of the delay.

-Keep the work area as clean as possible and assist others with maintaining shop cleanliness.

-Assist Service Writer, when requested, with writing up work orders, communicating with customers, test riding or any other issue which will help ensure customer satisfaction.

-Maintain technical qualifications by completing any necessary training programs assigned to you by the Service Manager.

-Other duties as assigned.
