Job Description

Title: Technical Recruiter

Location: Yorba Linda, CA

Summary:The Technical recruiter is responsible for the locating and qualifying of talented candidates that meet our client expectations. Using the information provided by the Account Manager the recruiter will be responsible to provide a panel of candidates that meet the technical, personal and financial guidelines for each assigned role. When appropriate the recruiter will be asked to give feedback to the Account Manager and/or Client based on information gathered in current or past searches to inform all parties of potential search issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Location and screening of potential IT candidates for contract, contract with potential to hire and full time openings with our clients through networking, employee referrals, job boards, social media presence ad searches, career fairs, internet research and direct contact.
  • Learn and understand all of Ekman Associates Inc.’s service offerings and internal technologies.
  • Scrutinize candidate information to determine matches between candidates and open roles. Provide Account Manager with qualified candidate for submittal to client providing information needed to facilitate hiring decisions, including salary recommendations.
  • Interview prospective candidates and prepare candidates for client interviews.
  • Conduct all interactions with the utmost diplomacy and tact. Maintain confidentiality and treat others with conscientious respect.
  • Update and track candidates in accordance to Ekman Associates Inc.’s standards. When possible, facilitate redeployment of consultants as assignments approach completion.
  • Responsible for processing and contacting qualified candidates who respond to Ekman Associates Inc. via phone, email or web.
  • Establish relationships with consultants/contractors in specified region(s) or with specified clients.
  • Track job orders and initiate recruitment for new roles based on leadership priorities.
  • Responsible for increasing number of qualified applicants in database.
  • Refer job order leads and hiring manager names to Account Managers.
  • Be familiar with industry trends, including client, market and unemployment conditions.
  • Be fully educated on account processes & policies to ensure 100% contract compliance.
  • Strategize with team members; assist and backup absent colleagues.
  • Attend training sessions, including those where active participation is expected
  • Meet or exceed weekly goal expectations.

Qualifications:
  • A strong work ethic and sense of commitment.
  • 2-5 years professional experience in a staffing, corporate, recruiting or professional sales environment
  • Past history of exceeding personal individual goals while working in a team environment.
  • Able to work in a very fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to self-manage, prioritize initiatives and work well in a team environment with competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • Closing skills and the ability to build lasting relationships built on honest and integrity.
  • Strong internet research skills. Proficiency in MS office, including Word and Excel. Ability to grasp cutting edge technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills.
  • Bachelors degree is preferred
