Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World USW Operataions AnalystPAE SCTTR is actively seeking an USW Operations Analyst to provide support to the Southern California Tactical Trainginng Range (SCTTR) Contract located at San Diego, CA.The incumbent operates computer-based systems, prepares computer generated and/or written reports, and develops presentations which analyze training or operational data for Navy fleet operating personnel, including large groups of personnel consisting of flight crews, ship and submarine commanding officers, and operations personnel.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes exercise operations, sensors, tactics, and weapons.
  • Generates computer-based training materials for Navy operational units or systems.
  • Familiarity with range related Government Owned Software such as Archive Edit Studio and Commercial-Off-The-Shelf software such as Google Earth.
  • Integrates these data products into power point presentations and other debrief tools., Conduct face-to-face debriefs or forward assigned debrief products as required.
  • Monitor real-time exercises, recording tactically significant data and preparing debrief products.
  • Utilizes a console for communicating with all participants on the SCTTR as well as all SCTTR staff members.
  • Operate assigned equipment and maintain a Tactical Log.
  • Support exercises from the Range Operations Center (ROC), NAS North Island, but may be required to provide support from remote locations.
  • As directed by the Mission Coordinator or Range Operations Manager, the OA will assist in event planning or briefing. The OA may be required to draft post-exercise messages as needed.
Qualification Requirements:
  • One of the following three: 1) Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Engineering or Management; 2) Proven Military Officer Sub-Specialist designation in USW; 3) Proven Navy Enlisted Classification in USW.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years' experience in analysis of USW exercise operations, sensors, tactics, and weapons
  • Experience operating computer-based systems, preparing computer generated and/or written reports and making presentations which analyze training and operational data for Navy fleet operating personnel, including large groups (10-30) of personnel consisting of flight crews, ship and submarine commanding officers and operations personnel.
  • Knowledge of Navy operational and administrative procedures and directives.
  • Experience with LINK-16 and/or LVC operations is a plus.
  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain and Interim Security Clearance (or transfer) in a timely manner, and maintain a US Government (DoD) Secret Clearance for this position on the SCTTR Contract.
